New ReviewerI didn't read the yelp reviews before buying a scooter here, which was a big mistake. A week ago I purchased a Taotao Powermax 150cc scooter.
I bought it fully assembled, full PDI / Mechanic check, and they told me it is "ready to ride". The next day it died while I was at a red light and wouldn't start up again. I adjusted the idle screw, enough to start it again. It died 3 more times before I could get it home.
Really stressful, not to mention dangerous. I have spent the past week calling and emailing multiple times a day, explaining that I want to either repair or return the scooter. It's been 6 days and I have gotten NO HELP WHATSOEVER. I have gotten the runaround "Our return policy is we only refund half", or "no one is here to help you, call back tomorrow", only to be told the same thing the next day.
I will be suing PowerSports Max in Small Claims Court, as this seems to be my only remaining option. Lesson learned.
